Geo-Logical is a specialty contracting firm focused on the sinkhole remediation market of Central Florida. They were founded in January 2005 and have quickly become a market leader. Today they employ 30 people and have revenues of approximately $6 million. 
Business Situation

Geo-Logical employees used a combination of laptop and desktop computers, running different operating systems and software packages including ACT!, MS Office, Quickbooks and MS Project.   There was no systematic data storage or backup procedure.
The sales team used paper forms to document project site conditions for bid purposes. Geo-Logical determined they would re-enter that same data an average of 16 times per project and identified this “drudge work” as an area for improvement.
